seller funds not showing in PayPal. email address correct in both e bay and Paypal

Hi

I have 10 sales made in ebay, the sales are noted and the money is specified on my ebay account. Most are on hold as a new buyer, but 2 have been released.

I understand that there are holds on new buyer funds in both ebay and Paypal.

My email address is both correct and the same in both ebay andPaypal.

My worry is that although the funds are showing in ebay, they are not showing in Paypal. Shouldn't they be showing as on hold or pending in my Paypal, not just not there at all.

I know the paypal account is linked and working as buying with ebay and Paypal is working fine.

Payments received are not received by Ebay. They go direct from the buyer's PayPal account or card to the PayPal account you included on the listings.

If payments are not appearing in your PayPal account, ie. you're not receiving payment confirmation emails from PayPal, then the PayPal email address on the listings is either wrong or contains a typo, meaning that your buyers' payments are floating around in the ether with nowhere to go. Go to one of the sold listings, choose 'sell similar' so that it opens up in edit mode, and scroll down the page to see what email addy you included.

If the addy is one that you can still access, add it to your PayPal account and the payments will pop through.

If the addy no longer exists, or contains a typo, you will have to cancel the affected Ebay transactions, and relist the items with the correct email addy so that your buyers can buy again. However, if you've already shipped the items, that could be a major problem. Have you shipped them all or not...? If you've shipped them, bear in mind in future that you should never ship until you receive a payment confirmation email from PayPal, as the delivery address on that email is the address you must ship to. You must never ship to the address on the Ebay order confirmation email, as that is the buyer's Ebay-registered adddress, and not necessarily where the buyer wants it sent.

Ebay do not hold any funds! Sales are recorded on your eBay account as soon as the listing ends and eBay take their fees then...

items will show in PayPal as soon as the buyer PAYS and not before and that is when you can send/ post the item to the address that PayPal gives you.
