A buyer paid instantly for an item that is collection only, he paid for it on the 6th December, he has made various excuses,
about picking it up, how long can you be expected to hang on to someones purchase,

You have up to 30 days from the date of the sale to cancel it and receive a refund of your seller fee so keep that in mind.
Give the buyer a deadline for collection.
