can someone please let me know as i am quite confused and dont want to loose out and do the refund out of my account and then loose the money in my paypal account that is pending????????
Always ask the buyer to open a suitable eBay case and only issue a refund through the case ... ensure that you have sufficient funds in your PayPal account to fully cover the total refund amount ... won't affect your account if you follow the case instructions carefully ...
https://resolutioncentre.ebay.co.uk/
A PayPal refund (separate companies) outside an eBay case can result in a loss of your selling fees and a possible further eBay refund request is not unknown. PayPal processing fees are not refunded.
When a buyer opens a case or return request, their payment is automatically put on hold.
The held payment won't come into your account once you've refunded through the open Ebay case or return request - it will be auto-returned to the buyer. That's how the case and return systems work.
(Make sure you refund by the date shown, btw, or Ebay will force the refund and slap a damaging defect on your account for not refunding voluntarily. And if you're waiting for the item to be returned to you, don't refund until you receive it back.)
