Trouble with combined postage for multiple item listing

Hi, I don't have a business account. I am selling some left over items I bought but never used. To get it to sell quicker I created a listing for multiple purchase encouraged by the multideal discount. So I now have a keen buyer, but as feared, the multiple items she wants to purchase gives incorrect postage. Originally before today I only had one rule for postage, ie. Buyers are allowed to combine postage. That led the customer to be quoted £10.40 for postage. Mad. So I set an additional rule, to add a promotional postage rule, set to £4.20 if buying more then 1 item. Do you think that worked? No of course not. Just tell me what to do so she can be quoted £4.20 in postage for 3 items. I have given up. And no, I'd rather not use the invoice method or PayPal refunds.

Everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, including how to combine postage costs, is in the Seller Centre (link at foot of any page). You also have the Help pages with their integral search to refer to (links at top and foot of any page).

If the buyer has already bought but not paid, you will have to send her an Ebay invoice with adjusted postage cost. Do not 'reset' as this will cancel out the adjustment.

If the buyer has bought and paid, you will have to part-refund from the PayPal transaction.
