I sent a book off on the 7th of April and have proof of posting sent Second Class Recorded delivery. There has been a long weekend in place and I have been with eBay for nearly 20 years and 100% feedback. I had an abusive message from the buyer calling me a scammer and did not believe I was 74 years old because they had not received the book yet. This is an expensive book up to £50 so I sent the proof of postage and the tracking is logged on the page. So now I cannot use eBay or Paypal as it has not been delivered yet. We have a pandemic going on and in certain parts of the country, it is taking longer than where I live in London. I said to him why didn't you contact me directly instead of putting in a claim with eBay. If it had not reached him by next week I would have given him a refund and made a claim. Royal Mail's recorded voice has said it is on its way. The problem is if he doesn't get the book by the 24th then they will take the money out of my account. If he does get the book and a refund what then?
''.... so I sent the proof of postage and the tracking is logged on the page.'' ........... Does that mean that the Tracking details have been entered into an open case ?, and ...Have you managed to check the package progress to the address given in the PayPal transaction on the Royal Mail tracking site ? >> https://www3.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/
