Help needed please. I sold a low value (£1) item and the buyer didn't pay despite me sending 2 invoices. I opened a case against them and they then paid. I packaged the item extremely well and sent it off. They have now requested a return stating that the envelope was damaged when received (they have sent 2 photos) and they are refusing to open it. But the item was wrapped in loads of bubble wrap so I'm fairly sure it will be fine. I have messaged them asking them to open it and check but they won't answer me. I think they changed their mind about the item but didn't want a strike against their name so paid for it and are now demanding a refund. I don't accept returns generally as all my items are low value and returns are inappropriate (lots of makeup). Surely this isn't fair? I know it's only £1 (plus p&p of £3.30) but it's the principle, they are going to keep a perfect item as well as get a refund aren't they? It's not worth it to pay the return postage is it? I'm really upset!!! Do I have to give them the refund?
