I've recenty started selling, and have just listed a phone. On my postage it says UK, however a gentleman has brought the phone, once I clicked on him to get the address I realised it's USA.
I have looked on the royal mail website, and postage from the UK to USA isn't coming up.
Has anyone done this before? Is it wise to do so?
Do I cancel the person buying and re-list? If so how do I stop someone from USA doing it again? As the postcode only works via postacode and I dont know everypostcode in USA ect..
Thanks
US is now classed as zone 3 on Royal Mail. You can look up the price on here:
https://www.seajays.org.uk/postage/index.cfm?
and send an amended invoice.
But with all the postage problems it might be easier to cancel the transaction. Go to More Actions, right of the item on your sold list > Cancel order > Something wrong with buyer's address. That does not need the buyer's agreement and will not affect your account. If they've paid a refund will be issued automatically.
And put their ID on your blocked bidder list:

If you relist use this link to put a general block on buyers in countries you don't ship to, etc.:

Select options then tick "Apply above settings to active and future listings" at the bottom and then submit.
Likely to be a scammer, BUT look again at RM website - OUR PRICES - Overseas Rates are shown after the UK ones.
The only item I can see that you have sold was on the 2nd December, where is the phone you have sold now? There is nothing listed or in your completed items.
I don't know why you are refering to Post Codes in the US, they are supplied on the address of the buyer when you are paid they call them ZIP Codes.
Posts to UK only does not prevent foreign buyers, you have to Block all parts of teWorld you do not post to.
More information about this sale is needed to give a proper answer.
If you are only selling to UK buyers and do not want to sell to overseas buyers then you will have to do more than just excluding an overseas postage option on your listings. All that will do will prevent overseas buyers from making payment - it won't prevent them from committing to the sale, in which case the listing will automatically end and you'll get charged the eBay and PayPal fees instantly. Therefore, in order to prevent overseas buyers living in countries that you do not wish to post to from being able to purchase any of your items that you list for sale follow the instructions given below:
First of all, go back to your My eBay page and click on the Accounts tab. When the next page loads up look at the right hand side of the screen for the section entitled Account Preferences. Click on the Site Preferences option, which is the second option from the top below the Account Preferences list. A new page entitled Site Preferences will appear on the screen.
When the Site Preferences page loads up scroll down the page until you get to the section entitled Postage And Packing Preferences. Click on the link beneath that heading which says "Postage Preferences" and a new page entitled Manage Postal Settings will appear on the screen.
At this point scroll right down to the bottom of the page. You'll see an option that says "Exclude Postage Locations" that gives you the option to block national and international destinations, with an Edit link to the right of that line. Click on the Edit link and a new page will load up. The top half of the page is the section to block various national regions - for example, if you didn't want to post to the Highlands you could block that area specifically. However, given that we're focusing on the international aspect of this option scroll down to the second half of the page. You'll see a list of all of the different regions, such as Africa and Asia, to name a few, with a box next to that region. If you want to block every single country within that region tick the main box; however, if you only want to block some of the countries within that region, but not all of them, click on the link that says "Show All Countries" and a drop-down list of countries will appear on the screen. Tick the boxes next to the countries that you do not wish to post to. If there are any countries on that list that you do not mind posting to then leave the box blank next to the countries you don't want to block, and buyers from those international destinations will still be able to buy from you. Click on the link that says "Hide All Countries" once you've finished with the list (this is right at the bottom of the drop-down menu) and repeat the procedure for all of the other regions of the world.
Once you have finished doing that scroll down the page and tick the box next to the sentence that says "Also Apply To Current Listings", then click on the blue Save button at the bottom of the page. Once you have done this any buyers with a primary address in one of the areas that you have decided to block will be unable to purchase anything from you, thus doing away with the problem whereby you could end up with a buyer who lives in a country that you do not post to from successfully committing to buying the item. Any buyers with a primary address in any countries that you did not block, whether they're various regions within the British Isles or overseas countries, will still be able to purchase items from you.
Finally, if you choose to block some, but not all, international destinations then make sure that you include an international postage option on your listings just in case the item is purchased by an overseas buyer who lives in a country that you don't mind posting to. That way the buyer will be able to make payment for the item(s) that he or she wishes to purchase.
