NEW COMMUNITY BOARDS LAYOUT Just when you think eBay could not get worse, they do this?

Can anyone with a grain of sanity tell us what on earth eBay was dreaming of to hoist this appalling new Community Boards layout on us? 

How much was spent on this lunacy?....... Which departments heads even took the time to think if we needed or wanted this?

We understand you treat us like children, we understand that we no longer have any say in how eBay manages its sellers, we understand that eBay has little if any respect for us, but do you have so much spare cash sloshing around you decided to spend it on this?  Why not give a few minutes of thought about spending it on sorting out eBay's myriad of glitches?

We all know that eBay does not take any note of what we do here, we no longer have ANY eBay Customer Support staff crop up on these boards, but to hoist this on us, this appalling wide screen, idiotic layout really takes some beating.

Who ever signed off on this needs their head read.

I was going to give you a thumbs up but even that is not working for me at the minute.

Talking of glitches i am currently searching for a lovely edwardian real gold bangle to buy which will cost several hundred pounds.....when i click on listings i get this "we looked everywhere" message.   Go back and click again on the listing and it shows properly.

I do not think i shall bother so thats another lost Ebay sale and i shall wait for the jewellers to reopen that sell proper vintage jewellery.

After I wrote this thread, I went downstairs & wanted to scream, but having been banned from listing new items because I refuse/can not sign up to MP, receiving no replies to my messages sent to the Managed payments team, with over 70,000GBP worth of goods listed, yet watching my sales fall of a cliff, I went downstairs & Instead I made myself an admittedly terrific cup of coffee. Looked up at the ceiling & thought, for the first time in over 10 years, "OK Sam, eBay has gone to the dogs, you now have to forget about ebay, so find something new to do", This cack-handed Community Boards "upgrade" was the last straw, & have to tried replying to a messages, Hahahahahahaah, they give you a narrow bar in which to write, you could not make this up.

This is absolutely dreadful. You have to scroll for ages up and down to see new posts/replies, theres no proper layout like before where it flowed like a proper conversation. No sense or logic to it whatsoever.

Its stressful enough having to deal with problems and rely on each others help, without this extra chaotic stress. Do you think we can appeal to get the other layout back? 😩

I am so astonished, for want of a better word, I have no words to decribe this utter shambles, who on earth dreamed this up? & tried replying to another post earlier & was told told this via a huge banner..."An Unexpected Error has occurred. Your request failed. Please contact your system administrator and provide the date and time you received the error and this Exception ID: 37FF74E2. Click your browser's Back button to continue." I am speechless, simply speechless, lost for words

Totally agree.  It wouldn't be quite so bad if it actually worked.  This is the first time I've managed to get in since 9am, and every page is taking F O R E V E R to load.  I simply don't have time for this, so I'll be unable to answer questions from now on.  If it changes back, perhaps someone can drop me a quick message to let me know!

I agree rusticrye. When i try and get on the boards it says processing forever. usually i just give up and sign out. When i click on the message box half the time it dont work and goodness knows how one gets back to your home my Ebay page. back button does not work and i have to sign out and then back in again. I just cannot be bothered with it all to be honest.

You would have thought that they could at least have sorted out the appalling glitches, or the appalling issues whixh so many sellers are having to deal with regards managed payments, but clearly this was of vital importance.

Hi, It doesn´t work for me, I get sent back to the standard eBay promotional landing page, with its dratted rolling carousel & hundreds of promoted items, which I also loath ")

Maybe it is to shut us up ") For there is no mention of this anywhere on any ebay communications or anouncements, this has to be one of the most poorly designed eBay "improvements" I have ever had the privilege to see, it beggars belief.

Replies are only available to comment on a specific post, which means going back and forward to re-read whos added what.

So many people are going to get unanswered because we cant work out how to read and respond.

It will become so frustrating I can see lots of people giving up and leaving.

I agree 100% not being able to see what posters have written at a glance is one of the barmiest "improvements" you could possibly imagine, no doubt eBay was overcome with worry incase someone with his mobile phone in his hand could not read what was on the boards, sheer unmitigated lunacy. I can count at least 9 replies via mail, possibly a few are mine, but whereare the others, just gobsmacked at the incompetance.

Forget responders for a second. I honestly do not think that the opening posters will easily be able to see the replies to their posts. Some of them got confused under the old system so i think they will fare even worse on these new boards.
