My buyer has relisted the item I've sent them, with all the photos I took, before I've sent it.

Is this purely a buyer playing the system, to try and flip the item for a profit? 

The listings are identical, and they are even my photos. they can't be the buyers as I still have the item in my house!

What's going on?

Buyers can resell items they buy from you, that is not playing the system.   But they should, of course, wait for the item to be in their posession. And they should take their own photos.

They are very foolish as they could get a buyer before they can deliver the goods and get in all sorts of trouble.

This is not the answer.

The buyer has now sold that item, but has also marked it as Returned due to not fitting.

The reason it doesn't 'fit' is because they bought it for a feature it's not listed as having.

I am now told by the app that the item is returned to me, and that the refund will be processed automatically in 3 days. I do NOT have the item.

I'm down 40 quid, and hours of my time trying to sort this.

I've reported the buyer but have had no response back from ebay.
