I sent five items to a buyer via Hermes signed for.
Hermes tracking states it was delivered and also signed for.
The buyer said they never received it.
eBay refunded the buyer £44 from my PayPal account, even though I provided tracking details.
eBay has Hermes adverts everywhere saying it is the best way for sellers to send their items to buyers.
can anyone explain to me me, what else I could have done please?
I don't know, but I was about to ask about the safest way to send Ebay parcels, so I am very interested in your question and I'll follow this thread.
I am using Hermes Parcel Shop Drop at the moment, it costs about the same as Royal Mail 2nd class bought online but has compensation included. The Parcel Drop shop is handier than the Post Office where I would need to go to get Proof of Posting.
Whether it is true or not i honestly do not know BUT i was told towrds the end of last week by a very large online retailer (NE"T) who use Hermes for their deliveries.....that Hermes are currently not obtaining signatures and will just scan the item "when delivered and will leave it in a safe place". I decided against the order as was not going to risk that practice for items costing me over £400. We have no secure safe place at home.
Before you say it John...no i do not class my bin as a safe place even though Hermes may well do so lol
