Don't waste your time trying to claim,Packlink wont payout if item is not in a box.

If you decide to send goods sold on eBay in a plastic-coated or air-bubble-filled bags, no claim can be accepted in the event of damages or losses: shipping goods in envelopes does not meet with the requirements of the Packaging guidelines

Packlink are only a booking service, they never handle the item so it is not in their possession. The package will be  with Hermes and you will need to contact them to try to obtain photographic evidence.

Do you mean Packlink!! You might find that if an item can possibly be damaged, then they don'y pay compensation.

I am afraid I would never use an Ebay Service that uses a hopeless Company like Packlink who DO NOT HANDLE or deliver anything, they pass on to Hermes who lose/damage items. Why 3 Companies to make a mess of delivery.

Crewe sounds like Hermes.

Just put that information on the claim form, ie. that they have the package in their possession so can see the damage for themselves.
