How long do payment disputes take, I have one that has lasted 2 weeks so far, I can give definite guarantees that the item was delivered nearly a month ago and have had discussions with the buyer about various items, he was delighted to receive the items, so why is it still going on, I think that not having money put into my bank account by eBay is caused by this dispute, I have closed my shop because of the marvelous new system bought in by the marvelous eBay people, they must be making a fortune.
Ignore Paypal they have nothing to do with these transactions.
Now,you have in your bank account £272 payment for the books which is being disputed as unrecognised transaction, the monies from your latest sales is being held by eBay to cover this dispute(rather than taking it back from your bank).
Once the dispute has been decided you will either have these payments released to your bank account(you win dispute)or your buyer will be refunded from the held payments(you lost dispute)
I'm confused
what 'payment dispute' do you mean?
This is an UNAUTHORISED ACCOUNT USE claim. In other words, the dispute has been raised by THE ACCOUNT HOLDER. They are saying that because they believe their account has been hacked or otherwise fraudulently used - by your buyer. All you need to do to overturn the claim is what you are being told to do within the claim : UPLOAD YOUR PROOF OF POSTING RECEIPT. If it proves dispatch to the address supplied at checkout, the case will auto-close in your favour. If you shipped to some other address, or you don't have a proof of dispatch receipt, you will lose the claim, and be charged a hefty admin fee into the bargain.

Ebay certainly isn't for everyone, especially those who don't take the time to read the very clear information Ebay supplies, and the very clear information that folk take the time and trouble to supply on these boards. Open your eyes and read, and you'll find the answer to every question you've so far asked.
You say - "The buyer is saying that he does not recognise the sale,"
That is an unauthorised chargback and if the buyer is now saying they do recognise the sale its up to them to withdraw their claim.
The only way a seller can defend such a claim is to prove they posted to the address PayPal gave them.
you need to contact ebay and sort this out,
it has nothing to do with paypal or the previous sale
you just haven't set up your bank to receive payments properly,
contact ebay CS,
do NOT mention paypal or the previous problem, as this will just confuse them!
just state you haven't received the payments and get them to check what bank account they are being sent to.
or you could just check it yourself by going to:-
