Has anyone had their work watermarked by another seller ?

I recently discovered someone has used my image and watermarked it with their logo. ( it had already been watermarked by me ) I have contacted them to remove the watermark as its illegal to do this with someone elses work. So far they have ignored me. I have spoken with Vero and theyre no help they dont want to deal with it. Has anyone had the same issue and if so what did you do about it ?

This is from eBay UK.

What should I do if my image or text is being used by another member?

When you create listings you give eBay and it's members permission, through our user agreement, to use your images and product details. Your content may be added to the eBay product catalogue, and may be used by other sellers in their eBay listings.

You may contact the member and ask them to remove your image or text from their listing if it is not part of the eBay product catalogue.

Although this was some years ago now and eBay has changed quite a bit since then, when it happened to me I contacted eBay Customer Services and explained what had happened, pointing out that I had taken those photos and used them on my own listing, making sure that I gave the eBay representative my own advert's item listing number, then I gave the eBay representative the item listing number of the advert that was using my own photos without my consent.  I stated that the seller had not even asked me if he could use my images and therefore stated that I wanted my photos removed from the other listing.  The eBay representative who I was speaking to was actually very helpful and said that she would ensure that the matter would be dealt with.  Within twenty-four hours eBay had removed the listing that I had reported from the site.

Should you wish to contact eBay and report the matter to them the best option would be to use the option to have somebody call you.  eBay recently moved the location of this option on the site - at the time of typing this response you can locate it by clicking on the Policies link at the bottom of this page.  When the Policies page loads up scroll right down to the bottom of the page and click on the mobile phone icon on the left hand side of the screen next to the words "Have Us Call You."  An eBay representative will call you back shortly afterwards, so if you explain the situation to the eBay representative and provide him or her with the listiing number from your own advert, as well as that of the listing by the seller who is using your photographs without your consent then eBay may well remove the seller's listing as they did in my case.

If you took the photos yourself, it's copyright theft. That has nothing at all to do with the VeRO scheme. Use the 'Report' button on every one of the seller's offending listings to let Ebay know.
