Feedback - Uncompleted Transaction

My husband listed an item and was sold to a one bid bidder in the last minute - he has been unable to contact him and has raised a case.  The case is now closed and he was given no option to leave feedback, then through the app he was asked to leave feedback - but there was no option to make this negative - is this right?  Are uncoompleted resolved transactions unable to me marked as negatibe - looks really strange ahving a negative comment marked as a positive.

TIA

Emma

do not be tempted to leave negative comments on a positive feedback,

as it is against the rules and just increases the non payers positive feedback!

the option for sellers to leave negative feedback was removed over 12 years ago!!

ebay removed the option for sellers and introduced non payment strikes instead,

these work really well if sellers do it properly,

when you have a non payer you need to complete a non payment case to get your final value fees refunded and give them a non payment strike

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/unpaid-items.html

then add the non payers ID to your blocked list

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

then set you bidder requirements to block bidders with two or more non payment strikes in the last 12 months

It is very simple really, once you complete an Unpaid case neither party can leave feedback. Seller gets the sellling fee refunded.

Should be obvious really as buyers can only receive positive feedback so what good would it do to increase the POSITIVE SCORE for a Non Payer, and if the buyer could leave feedback the seller would almost certainly get a negative.

If all sellers completed Unpaid cases and Blocked bidders with 2 or more unpaid strikes then the Non Payers would not be able to bid at all. Unfortunately many sellers think it is more helpful increasing a Non Payers Score than recovering their selling fee.

Must like paying fees for nothing.

Hello Emma,

You are not allowed to leave negative feed back for a buyer,  hence the missing red negtaive option.  In fact it's a policy violation, if that buyer complains you'll get a strike on your account.

For all non payers,  you have to open a case for unpaid item,  and close it on day 5.  Your seller fees are refunded,  and the buyer gets a non payment strike,  that's far more effective than any feedback,  because if they gain 2,  then they will not be able to buy from the majority of sellers on eBay for a full 12 months.
