Feedback Issues

Hi All,

Just looking for some advice, I have had 2 negative feedback reviews within the last 10 days, which has totally knocked me back as I have maintained 100% for my now 2 years of selling.

The 1st was a seller who claimed the item smelled, despite the listing being stated as they have been in storage and i had previously sold 4 other of the same item in the same condition with no negaitve feedback, when contacted I asked the seller why they didn't contact me first to resolve before leaving feedback and requested if I was to provide a full refund (despite them throwing the item in the bin) without the need to return if they would accept a revision request. All i got back was "how could you not smell it" response and ignoring the revision so far.

The 2nd is a new user to eBay, who bought a single item from me, but left feedback saying the listing was misleading and in the job lot section, i checked and the listing clearly stated 1 item and wasn't in the job lot section. So far no response from them either, nor any messaging before feedback. - my request through the seller panel for a removal was denied even though it wasnt more than 1 item and not in the job lot section, so my hope is that the buyer will make contact and I can work it out.

Both of these items were £12 each including P&P and to be honest, I have offered a full refund on one and will no doubt offer on the second just to maintain my 100%.

What should I do? Any issues before I have been contacted first (only once, which was an Xbox game valued at £5 that kept freezing) and have been able to resolve.

I feel let down by the system in a way, for someone like me who has just over 600 feedback score, 1 negative piece of feedback knocked me down to 98.9% and the 2nd down to 97.5% its a big blow.. perhaps I am overthinking this...

Thanks

The false positive you left can damage your account much more than any neg you received as its looked upon as serious feedback abuse.

Just because you didn't succeed the first time doesn't mean you should just throw in the towel.  Contact eBay Customer Services first thing in the morning before they become busy (lines open at 8:00am) and explain to the eBay representative exactly what has happened in each case, making sure that you put a strong case forward for each one to justify your request for the removal of the negative feedback.  There's no guarantee that it will work, but if you just throw in the towel then you will be stuck with those negative feedback comments forever, whereas if you stand your ground and really argue your case then if you are fortunate enough to get through to somebody with an ounce of sense who can see the situation from your own perspective then you may well succeed in being able to get the negative feedback comments removed, in which case any damage done to your feedback history by those comments will end up being undone as a result of their removal.

Whatever the final outcome with regards to these two negative feedback comments, make sure that you add the User IDs of both buyers to your Blocked Bidders List so as to prevent them from purchasing anything else from you in the future and causing you any further aggravation.
