Defining the delivery settings and steps to postage

Hello guys,

I want to sell a smartphone but I'm confused about the delivery. How it works the definition of the costs? I mean, if somebody buys the item, how the cost will be calculated? Or is this something I need to define personally/manually? If I don't specify the cost, it will be defined automatically by eBay when I publish my ad?

I have "Domestic postage" defined as "Flat: same cost to all buyers" with 2 working days as dispatch time, and I would like to enable the "International Postage", but I won't accept returns. The dimensions of the package are 27 x 20 x 11 cm (larger package).

Additionally, I would like to understand what will be the steps to post the package - do I need to go to the post office? Or do we have other companies? The dispatch time is necessary because I will need more time to prepare the package and go to the right place to post it. I'm confused...

Can you help me clarify how it works and what do I need to do, please?

Note: The postage will be done from Nottingham.

"but I won't accept returns" doesn't mean very much now.You can only refuse to accept a return if the buyer states they have changed their mind.

If you refuse a return request made for any other reason ebay will step in and force a refund under their MBG offer.

"Mobiles etc are a scam magnet.", yes, I know, this is the reason why I would like to sell via eBay, for example, to have the layer protection between the seller and the buyer. I tried to sell via Gumtree and someone tried to cheat me.

Gumtree is owned by eBay, so if you got cheated on Gumtree then what makes you think that you won't get cheated on eBay? You say that you know that mobiles are a scammer magnet, but given that you are still a new seller on eBay you will be at greater risk of being targeted by scammers than other more experienced sellers. If you really believe that eBay will offer you any seller protection then you're kidding yourself - eBay nearly always decide cases in the buyer's favour, so if somebody did buy the phone and then tried to scam you by opening a dodgy case then they would probably win, in which case you'd lose both the phone and the money.
