Cannot relist ended auction items as buy it now as were auto-relists - help!

Several of my items which were auctions with auto-relist. Sellers Hub says I can change them to buy-it-now. When I have edited I cannot relist because "item scheduled for auto-relist". They have ENDED. Even taking a copy makes no difference. 

I also edited some listings and unticked the auto-relist box. After relisting they still auto-relisted.

Without copyng and pasting each field into a buy-it-now listing is there a workaround?

Also, how do I stop an item relisting?

I think "Sell Similar" solves the problem. I am still interested if anyone know the logic behind refusing to let you relist an ended auction item as buy it now, and why you cannot cancel auto-relist, if anyone knows.

If you use the Seller Hub, unsold items will still appear and you can edit an unsold by using list similar item and then edit the details to convert from a BIN to an Auction.

Using the seller hub puts you in control  of listings again.
