Buyer has paid for an item but not collected it ?

I have sold a fire bin which because of its size was for collection only.  The buyer paid almost immediately but has not responded to any of my messages about collection. What should I do ? I'm happy to refund the payment and cancel the transaction if the buyer has had a change of heart.  But is that the best course of action for me ?  How long should I leave it before deciding what to do ?

Your buyer may be worried that current Covid regulations (21/02) state you should not make unnecessary journeys or meet people.

There is always the risk of a fine which could make there eBay purchase expensive.

You could email them and say you need it collected by a certain date.   If they don't reply or don't collect by then you can cancel the transaction.   Or you can do that right away if you prefer.

Go to More Actions, far right of item on your sold page > Cancel order > Something wrong with buyer's address, which is the nearest one to this situation as it's possible they are too far away to collect.    The refund will be issued automatically.
