Buyer Paypal payment disputed

Hi there. I've received a message from Paypal saying the sender of a payment to me for an item purchased on ebay has requested their financial institution to reverse the payment, reason is they didn't authorise the purchase.

I've had a look at the transaction: The name and address in ebay are the same as the paypal transaction details so there is no discrepancy here.  The RM tracking shows the item was delivered and I've also got positive feedback from the buyer which presumably indicates they got the item and they are happy with this - and that they did buy the item.

I've added the above to the case and a screenshot of the feedback also.   I have however noticed the name of the person disputing the payment isnt the same as the name on the ebay account or the paypal transaction.  Is this a problem?

I can only assume this person let someone else in thir house buy things using their account - I don't understand how this has become my problem?   Can you give me advice please?  Thank you

If you have not already done so report the buyer to Action Fraud and obtain a crime reference number in relation to the matter.  Pass this on to PayPal as soon as you have obtained it, as this should help to back up your claim that you sent the item to the name and address that was displayed on the PayPal confirmation of payment e-mail.  If the buyer is either trying to scam you, or if somebody else has used the buyer's card without their consent, then it should give them a nasty shock when they find themselves the subject of an Action Fraud investigation into suspected unauthorised use of the account in order to purchase items advertised for sale on eBay.  It may just be enough to dissuade them from doing it again, whether it's the rightful account holder trying to scam you or somebody else using their account without their knowledge!
