£1 max selling fees - completely random? Any way to increase chances to be offered?

I've seen there is another £1 mas selling fees weekend coming up - the third in a row that I've been unable to participate in.

When I follow the link I'm told the offer has already expired, so it must be by invite only.

I've never had this issue in the past, I've been accepted into these offers numerous times a year.

With this now being the third in a row I've not - just wondered if there is any way to improve your chances of actually being invited?

I've got things to sell, but I refuse to lose £20 in fees.
