i am fairly new to selling on ebay consistently, i was a private seller and put an ad up advertising 2 size of alloy wheels, when 1 size went out of stock it wouldn't allow me to amend the title or listing so i had to cancel some orders, i didn't realise the impact this would have and that ebay would charge roughly an extra £10 on each transaction fee, the ad had hundreds of views and alot of followers so if i cancelled thge ad i would have been starting from scratch again, since becoming a business seller it has alloweed me to amend so now i wont be cancelling any orders, i have 2 wheels left and a review of my accoung February 20th, and no more stock coming in until mid feb, so i am wondering how long roughly ami going to kept being charged almost £30 transaction fee on a £150 sale as it seems hardly worth continuing especially given it was an innocent mistake by a novice seller at the time, is there anything that can be done if i were to speak to someone at ebay or am i wasting my time ? thanks

Hi @bmwheels ,
Thank you for your post.
I'm afraid if they are valid defects its unlikely customer support can remove them. When it comes to the below standard performance level it is based off a percentage. If you check your seller dashboard and those cancelled out of stock orders it will show you the percentage you are at and what it needs to come down to, to be back above standard. This will be based off the number of defects( cancelled orders) and transactions for the same time period. It may take some time but continuing to have sales with no more defects is what will bring the percentage down.
Thank you,
Kat

Thanks for reply.. when I 1st started selling, my ad had both sizes of wheels for sale. I never knew at the start that when one size sold out I couldnt amend either the title or the listing my only option was to delete a listing that was doing well with hundreds of views and lots of watchers so I didnt think at the time saying something was out of stock now and then would be too big of a deal. Surely it would make sense for ebay to allow listing to be amended.. Only now as a business seller can I amend the title and description which means nothing will be on my ad that I dont have in stock but very frustrating that im paying £10 more per sale on top of the already £19 for fees.
