So eBay have “ listened “. A bit like when a politician “ listens” and continues as before. You can avoid (!!) simply awful delivery with items up to £20…as long as they are under 100 grams. Big deal. For 99.9% of potential users that will be not one iota of use. All eBay have done is raise the bar ever so slightly from £10 to £20. I am still out never to return whilst this bonkers system is in place

The reference to 100g in the announcement/help pages is misleading. It is just an example of the sort of items that will typically benefit most from the opt out. Items don't actually have to be 100g or less, just £20 or less and in certain sub-categories.

If you had tried it you would have seen that, once you have Custom Postage engaged, you can send items that are:
over 100g
over Large Letter size
Maybe you were selling a lot of expensive items when you were on eBay, but for a small Private Seller like me, this applies to most of my listings! And yes, I am happy to go back to normal too 😉
