Relisting

My item didn’t sell and eBay automatically relisted it for me. However, it was originally listed with a reserve price, but it seems this wanted included when it was relisted and now the item has sold for much less than I wanted to sell it for

I think you are mistaking a Buy it Now price with a Reserve Price.

When a bid is placed the Buy it Now price i removed,  and the sale runs on in auction style only,  in fairness to the other bidders.  A Buy it Now is not a reserve.

If you ad d a Reserve,  minimum is £50, and this is an optional listing upgraded and the most expensive.  It costs 4% of your set reserve,  payable sale or no sale and charged the second the item goes live.  If your item relisted with a Reserve,  if you didn't remove the reserve,  it would be there and be charged that non refundable listing again.

No need to use reserves,  just start all auctions for the lowest amount you are happy to receive,  it cannot sell for less.

Issue a cancellation.  Click on the dropdown menu arrow alongside the item on your orders page and select Cancel order.   If they've paid a refund will be issued in the process.

You  may get a defect on your account but one should not do much harm as long as you don't get any more.   Let buyer know the reason you are cancelling.

For future listings you can cancel the relist option during the listing process before you submit. It's under pricing options on the far right.
