I just got done talking to customer service and I feelt the need to post about it here as well.
As of yesterday I have found out that buyers who send the minimum offer on items with a minimum offer, their offers are likely to get automatically rejected because the price includes buyer protection.
I will do my best to explain:
For example purposes only my item price was £60 buyer sent me £30 as that is my minimum price that I will accept. Gets automatically rejected because buyer protection fee (in this example let's say it's £2.50) was included in the price making the offer show up as £27.50. If the buyer did not message me and let me know their offer (which should have technically gone through) was automatically rejected, I would not have known. This was remedied by me offering the £30 instead which then ADDED on the protection fee, not included in the offer price.
(Again, example only) £30 should be £30.
Customer service has told me they have recorded my concern and will relay it to the team. Their solution? Don't put a minimum offer on your items. I can't argue with that and I have no quarrels other than this shouldn't be an issue and isn't an issue on other sites they seem to be "adopting" this feature from.
