Ebays new policy's explained simply.
Ebay is lying to you you not getting paid what you think it'll when you think.
Ebay new policy you get paid after delivery.
No you don't.. this is actually 48 hours after delivery and that's only if you use ebays approved labels.
If you use your own postage it takes 3 weeks from the date of sale to get paid.
I have customers get item leave feedback and even message me about being happy and still have to wait two weeks after this to get paid... jesus.
Another thing so you wanna get paid quicker so you buy ebays postage!
Your not covered like vinted if the item goes missing using ebays labels it's refund the buyer then sort out compensation yourself.
I had a 125 pound hard drive go.missing in post. It said on tracking deliverd... but you could see on the item it was delivered to a complete different area street and address... Ebay a.i system just took the delivered and I lost my money and never got the item I purchased... I told them loon at evidence there response was its too late now case is closed... who closed the case the seller I had purchased from escalated it knowing full well it showed delivered they wouldn't look into it too much.. I got screwed basically.
Buyer protection... sometimes..
Seller protection non existent unless an a.i system rules in your favor.
Getting paid... so I got paid today finally after three weeks... hang on why I been paid 22 quid when you owe me 40... the postage labels policy.. very unfair.
So when you buy royal mails postage labels from Ebay.. the three weeks to get paid locks and changes to get paid after delivery... I have purchased many labels and to be honest some of them don't even move for days... and when they do it's still not good.
Let me explain if you sell items and cave in to pressure want to get paid quicker so use ebays labels. This label you purchased for items doesn't come off that item.
The labels you purchased put your account into debt.
So when they do free up the cash from one sale or two it will.be taken by the debt from the labels for all the sales.
Another thing to take into account with ebays dracoinan measures...
They are the boss they change policy's all the time to make money.. they care about buyers not sellers. It's always buyer protection never seller protection.
I have been on ebay for several years I've been though all the changes every time the changes are worse.. things never get better for the sellers.
This dracoinan formula Ebay is using is brilliant for big company's and sellers its not so good for the little guy and Ebay doesn't care about the little guy.
If your selling all the time on here Ebay will always owe you money you will always not be happy with what your paid and when your paid as its your money they shouldn't be spoonfeeding it you.
Stashing all your cash for days in a high interest account and spoonfeeding yiu the crumbs...
this is why I have gone to vinted...
Theys none of this in there.
You get paid as soon as you get feedback or delivery confirmation.
You don't control postage or pay any postage fees. That's up to the buyer to sort after sale not the seller... and this is the best one if I use vinted labels and the item goes missing both the seller and the buyer is covered...
Ebay simply doesn't care

Great Post.
It's criminal what ebay are doing to sellers at the moment.
Asking you to send an item, post an item and then wait until eBay decides to send your money. Outrageous.
Item delivered and feedback given. EBay will still keep you waiting.
If this isn't improved very quickly that's me done.
Over to vinted I will go

I know have screen shots admitting to all of this.. the small print.. if it's over ten pounds feedback don't count you still have to wait two weeks after delivery.
If you use ebays postage lables your not covered if something goes wrong like you are on vinted.

The problem is its showing as send yet on another its showing as delivered and feedback has been received so I'm not sure the 14 days rule will apply.
Getting fed up with seeing a balance of X amount and availabke zero

I feel your pain as I've been waiting for my money for 3 weeks now only got £20 when my balance £140 which i need to pay off my dept i brought the item to resell in the first place. I'm trying to some extra cash like everybody else. I'm stuck with 14 boxes of 100 18650 batteries i cannot sell but notice that some sellers are still selling them on the site.

Royal Mail tracking is sometimes not in sync with eBay's tracking, and the latter is the most important for releasing a faster payout, that is, 2 days after the delivery date.
If you have found your tracking has not updated, therefore holding back your payout, contact eBay Customer Services, provide the tracking showing delivery, ask if they can kindly release your payout now , that is, if 48 hours have passed the delivery date.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/
Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
