Hello, i have not sold anything on eBay since last year, so im a little confused about postage, can i still use tracked 48 or do i have to use eBay postage my concern is once i pack the item it will be heavier and bigger do eBay take  the postage out of your money or do you just pay at the post office, also can anyone tell me why when i click on my listing it says 2 amounts

When you list something e-Bay recommend a size and weight based on their estimate.  Provided you don't over-rule that e-Bay will honour that price even if it is bigger or heavier than estimated.

Assuming you don't do 'Free' delivery the Buyer pays the postage to e-Bay and they give you a label.  The Buyer can choose Express or Standard delivery, hence two amounts.  The only carriers you can currently use are Royal Mail Tracked 48 (if the Buyer chooses Standard) or Tracked 24 for Express or Evri.  When you list you can choose to use either RM, Evri or either.  If you choose either it's slightly cheaper.

Full details can be found here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575 and here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/postage/simple-delivery.

Deleted because cross posted with above poster with  similar answer

Eta the two different amounts might be because one is showing your listing price/current bid the other is showing it plus the new buyer protection fee on top I think

To add to what has already been stated - given your listings are setup as free delivery - you will need to generate the provided label from SImple Delivery as this is the only means to get the address of the customer. This label cost will be charged to your ebay balance.

Who told you that? Your auctions are set as free delivery with SImple Delivery as the postage method.

You would be charged for the label. The only instance you wouldn't is if the buyer selects the Express Tracked Delivery (though even there, you might receive the money for the postage and then be charged for the label).

i can't say whether you should have chosen it or not. Your listing may be more likely to sell with free delivery set, which is what you may want.

But you will be charged.

If it was ebay seller support - unfortunately, they aren't known for their accuracy.

You will also be supplied a QR code which can be used to print labels at most post offices and many Evri drop off locations.

you can if you wish choose your own postage method instead, but you will still initially be charged for the Simple Delivery label. That label however, if unused can be refunded, but you need to request a refund.
