when you say untested with film and a person says they bought a film from a reputable dealer saying it must work then suggesting my camera was faulty when as far as i can see if the film was processed the end result must be the film cartridge
t fault.

Good Evening AC/DC
I disagree. I am of the opinion that your camera is the problem. If you described it as untested then you are saying that you don't know if it works or not and as has happened it has not functioned properly.
My advice would be to apologise and accept a return through eBay and refund in full.

I guess you are the buyer of the film and your pictures have not been developed ?
You complained to the seller who suggested your camera was faulty.
If so and you are within 30days of delivery to yourself you can open a not as described case under the mbg for a refund.
If it is after 30 days - put it down to experiance - I guess it was inexpensive - you can try your card provider but is it worth the hassle - who knows why the developing did not work - could be many reasons - hardly worth an argument !

Hi no not the buyer but seller. I have offered a partial refund because I followed ebay rules. not sure where error lies. If buyer error then get camera back most buyers say fault to get u to pay post they try to get u to give the item so fault is questionable. Instax still make films but the error can be simple I don't think electronically processed so it is just the film cartridge please advise. my funds are limited with one return ebay rules you have to transfer your funds or they will after time. I am a private seller. Got business account then ebay limited listings to 5 per month.

I am assuming the buyer has opened a return case through Ebay on the grounds the item doesn't work.
Unless the buyer accepts the partial refund (which is unlikely as they believe the item bought from you is faulty) you must provide a label and accept the return.
If you don't the buyer can ask Ebay to step in. Ebay will refund the buyer and tell them they don't need to return the item.
The buyer does not have to prove the item is faulty.
When you get it back, and have refunded the buyer, you should either test the camera yourself and make sure it is working properly before you list it again, or sell it as 'not working/parts only.'

No they haven't opened a case yet. I will order a film to test, never sell them again. First started with polaroid's things have altered since then it was paypal. They say no fees but shop fee. Protection fee paid by buyer ill have to be more aware of it.

So was this a trading sale or one where you just got rid of an unwanted personal possession? Your buyer's rights don't depend on your account type they depend on what you actually are, i.e business seller or not.
