review a defect

does any one at ebay actually look when you put in a request to review a defect, i had sold 4 items to the same buyer in the same box they were posted the day after the order, they were delivered 2 days later and i have proof of collection and delivery , so i requested a review on all 4 items, and within 5 minuets i got a reply and told the request was refused, for the same reason, late despatch and delivery, prsonally i think i was just getting an automated reply, on another accation i had to my horror that 10 items that i had listed were stolen with a number of other items out of storage, but these 10 items sold so i had to mark them done as damaged or out of stock, this then sent me below standard, i got on the phone straight away to ebay and said i should appeal the decision on each item, so i did all 10 one by one and before i got to the third one my request to review the first one came back as failed, and one after another they all failed the request and every time i got identicle reply's, so the person who reviews these requests is lightning fast or they not even being looked into, so far i have never put a request in that has been succesful, if qnyone out there has please let me know

eBay are not interested in reviewing account defects for regular sellers. It requires manual work, which costs eBay money, at no obvious benefit to eBay. I would imagine that the reviews are often automatically rejected.

If you sold items, posted next day and they were delivered after 2 further days then that's 3 days total. eBay likes to use your previous selling experience / tracking numbers to calculate Estimated Delivery Dates, so if you've previously had items arriving in 2 days then eBay may make that assumption for current/future sales. If you dispatched on time, used the service you stated on your listing and that was delivered on time (e.g. 1 day for 1st Class/Tracked 24 or 2 days for 2nd/T48) then you did your job, it's eBay being overly optimistic, there is nothing you can do. Best to ignore things outside of your control.

Stolen items: it isn't your fault, but I don't think a seller should be able to say to eBay "they were stolen" and get all defects removed, otherwise unscrupulous sellers would use that excuse all the time. For that appeal to have grounds I think the seller would need to provide a police report, but eBay aren't going to be interested to collect evidence and review it. It was a one-off event, bad luck presumably, you continue doing your job and your defect rate will go down again quickly.

thank you for your reply, the worst thing about this is the message i get "if you were revied today you would be a top rated seller", ebay did advise me to sell more to get the percentages down which will help in the future, but as a below standard seller i cant seem to get any views on my items, i cant even find them myself even when i copy one of my listing titles and paste it in the search bar, i have asked ebay and they told me as below standard my items are always at the bottom of the list
