why have items that are listed as free postage been changed by ebay to buyer pays when i have relisted an item !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, all kinds of errors are being reported by sellers here,  after  current custom postage listing,  haa been automatically changed to Simple Delivery.

Worth a gander at all your listings,  and correcting any necessary ! 🤔

This has happened to me too. My listings were 'hacked' by eBay at the weekend and an amount for postage to be paid by the buyer was added even though all my listings have FREE P&P in the listing. Later on Sunday they reverted to my choice of 'free delivery using Royal Mail Tracked 48. This makes a mockery of eBay stating that the seller takes responsibility for the listing when they have actually altered it to something of their choice!

I'm going to miss Royal Mail Tracked 48 as it's been a very good  trustworthy service for parcels up to 2kg for £4.05. You also  know that Royal Mail aren't going to leave the package on the doorstep or throw it over the wall like Evri.

Royal Mail  / Tracked 48 and Evri both services available on Simple Delivery,  you can remove Evri leave RM only if you prefer,  just cancel Evri in your Site preferences here:

Unfortunately, it looks like the days of being able to list an item, knowing the listing will stay exactly the same as when it was created, are over.

eBay are now interfering with prices, by adding on the BPF, and then adjusting it whenever they feel like it... and Simple Delivery is keeping itself busy, switching postage options, and generally meddling around with things behind our backs... 🤖  

Having to keep checking listings to see what has been tinkered with, and spend time deselecting/re-selecting options, and adjusting prices etc, is only going to cause more irritation for private sellers already cheesed off with all the recent changes & kerfuffle... 😖

You have been lucky my Evri driver always leaves any parcel in my garage whereas Royal Mail threw a parcel  over the wall of a house with the same number as mine but in a different street a mile away.

Best to check ALL your items.  When they forced me onto Not-So-Simple-Delivery:

eBay changed my 5 days dispatch to 2.  I changed them all (one at a time all 60 of them) to 3 which is the minimum.

eBay changed majority of my listings to Buyer Pays when I have used Free Post (Seller Pays) for years.

eBay changed all of my Large Letter listings to Small Parcel size.

eBay changed my listings to offer Evri and Royal Mail - despite only using Evri for items larger than small parcel (about 2% of my things!).

eBay will only allow either Royal Mail, Evri or both.  Private sellers cannot use RM for majority of their items and just one item with Evri - if you try it says all listings will be changed!  So my Evri sized parcels will either be listed on a new account or on a different platform.

It appears gone are the days when you listed an item and could trust it would be the same the next time you checked it / revised it or relisted it.
