"lost" parcel

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I had an Xmas present "lost" by Evri back in December (yes, it has taken this long to get nowhere) the seller just fobbed it off and did nothing and eBay refused to deal with that issue saying  it would be covered under their guarantee if I provided evidence it has been lost by evri. I did this in the form of an email from Evri, admitting to their losing of the parcel yet they still won't refund and every time I submit what they ask for it becomes something else. Seems these advisers are having some sort of joke with it, which at £150 out of pocket isn't really funny. I've asked for it to be escalated as a complaint 5 times now and just ignored every time. Can anybody help, any advice from somebody who has experienced similar? Many thanks, Russ

Re: "lost" parcel

It's out of time to do anything via ebay.   They only allow 30 days for claims.   Your best bet is to contact your payment provider and ask about a refund or chargeback.

Re: "lost" parcel

As advised, if you funded the payment with a debit or credit card then check out issuing a not received chargeback via your card provider, that should get you a full refund.

In future, if an order doesn't arrive by a couple of days past the estimated delivery date showing on the order, open an eBay item not received claim.  eBay's Money Back Guarantee gives buyers 30 days to do this.

The advice you were given to provide proof of Evri losing the package was incorrect, this is nothing to do with you. Buyers make an eBay not received claim and get a full refund, the seller has to pursue a claim for loss with their carrier.

Was this 'advice' given to you by ebay CS??  (*not* the seller?)

If that was CS ....Bleedin' Nora!  I know they talk a load of ol' sh**e sometimes, but that really is a new low. ☹️
