"Simple Delivery not available for this item"

I am a bit bewildered now, after a respite of some months, and trying SD for a couple of items which seemed to run smoothly, so decided to list a few more items, only to find today that SD is "not available for this item", there is no 'Choice' of whether to use SD or otherwise, my items would be under £20 and are not in the excluded list.  Really?

Many are experiencing this,  you are not alone.

Friday is eBay's maintenance day, when those up in eBay Towers HQ in CaliforNIA are tweaking and installing new systems.  It's still early hours of the morning there,  so less disruption for  American members,  but sending things askew and awry here  in the UK.

Hopefully, it  will be back to norm soon / later.

It may also depend on the categories your listings fall under as ebay still seem to force SD where it's not reasonable (such as low value large letter items)  in non-exempt categories while not offering SD at all where it would be tolerable for some of us  (such as 1-2kg small parcel items) in other categories.

Maybe there is some logic to this madness but it seems very stupid to me as a buyer and seller.

Definitely a Friday thing. It's been knacked all day, even editing a listing that's already running with SD results in said listing showing 'No delivery' error. I just want to adjust one of the pictures. Roll on Saturday

Anyone else still not got simple delivery working...so annoying they are saying nothing about this!

As I mentioned above in my post,  that many are experiencing this,  you are not alone, and it's been an issue all day.

Although the Friday reason for tech issues,  is usually fixed much sooner,  and this seems to be lingering on far longer than the norm Friday maintenance upset!

Let's hope it is fixed soon as many are affected.

I have had a similar problem just wanting to amend a couple of books I have listed move from one catagory to another and it's coming up with Simple Delivery not available for this - absolutely ridiculous what we have to put up with nowadays.

I thought it happened to me yesterday as well, but can't remember what I was to trying to change on an item already listed.

Will try again tomorrow, or just give up altogether, such a whole lot of hassle they have put us through this past year.
