Questions will be asked if RM tracking shows item delivered and ebay system takes its mery time to update tracking. Specially when they are sat on all that money. 🙄

Think I see many calls to CS giving correct tracking numbers showing delivery and asking for money to be released.

Yep, too true, but if paying those CS agents for the oh so many ( really?) calls at 3 a.m.. / 4 a.m. I'm sure they'll be there for all to call in soon.
Who knows about guessing eBay's next steps, you're better off guessing lottery numbers .

We are certainly living in interesting times... eBay's journey to re-format itself for the Gen Z and Gen Alphas will definitely see more changes at the coal face!!
As to the CS agents having to take those 3AM calls... it will be midday for them, being based in Indonesia as they in all likelihood shall be!!!

I think all those 'new cs agents' for the benefit of buyers will be AI .
(somebody somewhere down one of the giant threads found the bit in the ebay-speak new rules that mentioned between certain times you'd be communicating with bots...)

Years ago when I dipped my toe in the eBay experience, I used to record all the sales in a book,with all details of buyer, date paid and posted and feedback etc. With this latest eBay amendment I might have to restart the bookkeeping of payments made. I sold an item on Vinted, was delivered 4 days ago and still not been processed…if eBay are copying Vinted model this might be the norm on here

I have been selling on eBay for over 22 years but now with this new payments thing 2 days after delivery I am seriously contemplating closing down because the items I sell (electronic components) are posted 2nd class with Royal mail because if I use a signed for/tracked service the price would be more than the cost of the item and my buyers would not buy. Most of the time I do not even get Feedback from buyers I currently have 11 orders with no Feedback so it looks like anything I sell after the 4th Feb I will not get paid for because delivery cannot be proved.

You will be paid after 14 days for untracked items.

It's all unnecessary upsetting. I've completed my first sale under the new iron fist rules. It has been 2 days, the item is marked as delivered by 24 hour tracking AND I have positive feedback for said item. My funds are still on hold. Brilliant.
It appears that in order to make Ebay a safe and trustworthy marketplace, the sellers are the ones being put on trial yet I've only ever known the buyers to be the ones to attempt swindling. (Vinted is another kettle of fish altogether). So this is a huge walk of self sabotage for ebay, with the sellers being the pillars of the marketplace, no sellers equals no buyers. Very tempted at this time to walk away from this shambles. 😒

This is clearly a money grab .Utterly terrible site now. What you get now is forced to pay higher postage for quicker payouts .
I find it hilarious as tech has moved on Ebay has decided to go back to the 70s .
It's patently obvious to make m9ney on holding others money or they want it to be a business seller only environment
To be honest Ebay has been going downhill for years .I notice they can't root out fake uk sellers from China yet they believe they can make a system that's tracks every courier we have .
They can't and thd Complaints will roll in .Now I'm off to remove my items and close my 20 year old account .
