This doesn't bode well. For this to work eBay need to make sure their tracking is up to speed.

Yes. And I don't see that as either a) Logical or b) Fair.
So Ebay can suck my *bleep*.

Proof of delivery is a successfully tracked item being delivered, a strike of the gong and a flare sent up. Speaking to CS is a joke also, they're responses are robotic and all defensive in such a way that puts ebay on a pedestal of angelic light. And their executive office is probably an inflatable. None of it makes any sense. Just accept what it is, and what it is, is a circus. A really c®️ap circus where the main event it the sellers being made to dance on hot coals.

Well I have spoken to eBayCS and have been in communication with eBay's executive office and they saythey do not see Feedback as proof of delivery
From the end of February on items under £10.00 feedback will be proof
We’ve also heard your feedback and understand that shipping costs are particularly top of mind for low price items. When you’re selling a single item for £10 or less, and it’s sent untracked, funds will now be available 24 hours after you receive positive buyer feedback. This will be live by the end of February.

Pardon me if I don't believe this will play out in practice at least for the first few months, given the sheetshow that is the implementation of their current policy.
As I've already said- I have CONFIRMED DELIVERY IN EBAY and am still waiting for money. I was supposed to get that money 48 hours after confirmation. It is now 4 days overdue.
So no matter what they SAY their policy will be...... well. It probably won't happen, because it's not happening now.

Just checked listings and now they're on an automatic flat rate where compensation isn't included. This week I've had 2 parcels go missing and the North wes midlands and now I'm seeing for future delivery's, if parcels go missing, I won't be compensated....and this is all under the new ebay scheme.
Final nail. 😳

Ridiculous.

So I just had an interesting conversation with CS. Basically when they 'release funds' for aj order, they than use it to pay for the postage of other orders whose funds haven't been released yet. So... my funds 'released' on 14th Feb were then used to purchase postage labels for future orders, because the funds from those orders were still unreleased due to their 'undelivered' status. So basically, your released funds are being used to pay seller costs on future orders because Ebay refuse to release funds on untracked stuff for 2 weeks.
It makes a convoluted kind of sense- but ultimately they are hoarding monies and paying out weeks later than they should-- and you have no option (soon) because they will force to buy postage labels through them. So your eBay balance, as such, isn't a balance at all. It's like an expenses account and every few weeks, they will pay you any credit you have on that account.
It's a weird way of doing things but makes total sense if they want to use seller monies as liquid capital.
Anyway, my stance stands. After my current batch of listings is done, I will move over to Vinted.
