ebay overcharging for simple delivery via Evri

When you post direct with Evri, they have banding of 2-5kg and 5-10kg.

Ebay have 2-10kg which means if you send something which is <5kg you are paying £5.64 instead of £2.62.  That's just wrong imho.

£2.62 is Evri's published price for delivery to an Evri parcel shop rather than delivery to the buyer's address (for items up to 5Kg). Delivery to buyer's address for items 2-10Kg is £6.49.

Ebay Simple Delivery offers delivery to an Evri parcel shop at £3.42 for items 2-10Kg and either £5.21 (all carriers selected) or £5.64 (Evri only) for delivery to buyer's address.

The £2.62 on Evri website is the flat price for C&C. If you are delivering to a home address it jumps to £6.49.

This also only covers the value up to £25 and if the item is lost or damaged, you have to put in a claim and best of luck with that.

Yes, good point.  Evri only provides cover up to £25 as standard whereas eBay Simple Delivery provides cover for the full value of the item.

I welcome SD on my private account. It is so much less hassle and covers the items in full.

No more wasting time on the Evri website or trying to get them to settle a lost/damaged claim.
