I stopped selling when I saw the changes then a couple days ago thought I would list couple lots to see what its all about. Had no interest so far but just noticed eBay {not me} telling the buyer they can save on postage by picking their purchase up themselves.

What is eBay playing at I don't want buyers knocking on the door. Knowing the wife she will be inviting them in for tea and biscuits.

Where are we going? they will have us clocking on next.

If starting a new listing or using sell similar you have to change it to postage only

using relist keeps the original postage only option

you can also change several listings at once in bulk edit to remove collection

Loads of sellers have a collection option lately - I think most of them don't know it's even on their adverts. 

I noticed it on mine & had to go through changing it to postage only even though I've not sold anything with the collection option since they removed cash payments.

The lots I am talking about are previously unsold lots which I have relisted just to try it out after these changes 

I never before told buyers they could pick up, so eBay changed it,

Think they are telling us they can do what they want, and to get in line.

I knew we would end up clocking on.

Just been thinking for what I am selling they will not waste petrol to pick them up.

Might come for the tea and biscuits though, or with my luck ask me to drop them off.

I had exactly the same happen to me on my private account, I sell some second hand home items I no longer need.

My advert said something like 'free pickup available' when I just checked it when it was live, like what....I chose free postage paid by me.

Above is right, the default setting is postage AND door pickup. Why would anybody want that as a default? I assume it would be postage default and door pickup as the optional outlier. I am going to stick my neck out here and say that at least 10% of the population are flat out weird, haha. I am not taking that risk for selling a second hand lego set I never got round to building 🙂

I put a bid in for something a couple of weeks ago, said RM everywhere.  Got notification that my bid had been outbid and i noticed that it said collection only on the notification, went back in and it showed RM still.  Could not be bothered after that and just let it go.  If it had been something i really wanted i would have got in touch with the seller but could not be bothered because of all the glitches at the moment on the site.

Not sure what eBays up to!, we now have to read the small print carefully when selling a 99p lot otherwise if it sells you could end up owing eBay £1.50 for the privilege.

Looks to me they are now taking the micky out of their small Private sellers who they no longer need money wise.

I’m on a business account and I got a buyer insisting she wanted to come around the house to pick her item up. But told her you need to pay first before she came.

never heard from her after that.

personally do not want people coming to the house.

Hi, Has eBay sneaked it on your lots about buyers being able to save on the postage by picking up lots at your house? they have on mine. never had things like this happen before these changes. Afraid now we have to read the small print all the time. Talk about "BIG BROTHER" wonder if they are doing it to get Private Sellers off eBay?

It may be a glitch as the results number is zero, but when I look at your items & click collection in person... I get loads come up  - your buyer may have been seeing the same as me
