Imagine if a high street shop came up with a plan to increase sales which stated the following points ..1..All items bought must be covered by our in store insurance whether you want it or not...2...All items that are delivered will be sent via the worst possible company that can be found at the highest cost...Sounds ridiculous i know but this is just what ebay have forced upon all private sellers and which has just about killed any chance that private sellers have of selling low priced items...Talk about the monkeys taking over the zoo , this company should be ashamed of what they have done to a site that used to be a pleasure to use.

Shops or manufacturers who offer a guarantee over and above statutory consumer rights will be adding the associated cost to the price. Customers can't ask for it cheaper and forego the guarantee. The difference is that they don't draw attention to it.
I do agree that more choices should be available with Simple Delivery than Evri and Royal Mail as neither are suitable for large items and it's down to luck if you have a local Post Office or Evri pick-up point. I know Royal Mail will collect but that's not suitable for everybody either.

1. Every time I buy in a high street shop, I am paying a percentage toward covering their shoplifting costs. I don't shoplift, but I still have to pay this percentage.
2. You can deselect RM!

Totally agree:
"Talk about the monkeys taking over the zoo , this company should be ashamed of what they have done to a site that used to be a pleasure to use."
Perhaps it would be better to replace "company" with "Zoo".
