Hi I've just received this message contacted ebay and is being sent to everyone
That's me I'm done no more ebay for me bye bye
We are making changes to the way we process payments on eBay. Going forward, we’ll make your funds available for payout within 48 hours after we’ve confirmed delivery of the item. Until then, you’ll see a “hold” on your funds. This process helps keep our marketplace safe.

I wasn't criticising you, just giving you a heads up as it was similar situation to when they responded that day.
Someone found a bypass through eBay.com. a thread started talking about it, eBay slammed down.
As for your last question, I haven't used any services like that so can't really say.

Mandatory is a legalese term. In Black's law dictionary is is classified as an offer. You are not legally required to conform. They used the term mandatory in a recent 'medical intervention' you may remember. The same was true there. No legal power to enforce. Words truly have meaning and sometimes they are used to give a false impression of reality.

the company in question translate and list my products on 13 ebay sites
the fee for this costs less than a basic shop

Thank you. Honestly had no idea what it was and I'm not sure that would bother them. Where they did get *bleep* off was my above example, which I must admit, I found a tad amusing, as it's leaning towards anti competition but within ones own parent company.

Could be one of few things, but based on how they talk about how they treat their "customers"
1. Either picked up cheap from a market/bootfair or similar to resell (should be business account)
2. Bought when stores clearance items to resell for profit (should be a business account)
3. Buying wholesale from costco/bookers etc to resell (should be a business account)
but of course it may just be a case of they REALLY need a lot of vitamins and buying bulk is cheaper so just flogging off the excess
I'm guessing the recurring theme may be what you're skirting around?
But it doesn't matter, because ebay won't do anything about it, despite claiming they want to stop it, they'll just keep taking everyone's money.
Because let's be honest, if they really wanted to crack down, there is a ton of people outing themselves here very openly and yet nothing changes.
If a business is happy to pass themselves off as a private seller and wait for the money while eBay earn interest on it, why would eBay actively try and stop it, no one is making them. Trading Standards wont, HMRC wont, so why should we care?
I'm just cracking on and trying to make sure I'm the 1st choice for people buying the things I sell, Don't waste your energy on things you can't change

The wait may be something to do with the automated banking system and when it can pay out, I'd expect delays on bank holidays etc

Maybe they are, maybe they aren't like I said before, I do not stress about what other sellers do.
I concentrate on my business, as long as I get what I want for my items, then that's all good with me, eventually the cheap stock runs out and I can afford to play the long game.
They may think they're clever undercutting, but undercutters leave money on the table, smart private sellers price match, not undercut.

Adding to this thread…. I always use the 48 hr tracked service but it looks like I’m having to wait 14 days minimum for any payouts since this was rolled out. How do they check an item has been received. I know the delivery is made so is it up to the buyer? Also my sales are down incredibly since this started. May be a coincidence or my items are not being seen. Frustrating for sure.

Same here, never using eBay again after this week.
I sold an item on a Monday night and got instant payment, sent the item Tuesday and it was received Wednesday. Yet now it's Friday (my payout day supposedly) and I'm still waiting for my money to become available.
Been a user since 2000 and have 100% feedback, and eBay are just treating me like a joke and paying me the money that I'm owed. It's so frustrating and really poor customer service.

I personally don't think it's good enough we are standing out if the postage costs and still funds not being released I've been on the chat with them twice this week just to get my money released its not working for me anymore may have call it a day think they are going to loose alot of people over this change they have made 😡

Exactly. For me, I had to sell stuff this week for personal reasons and here I am still waiting for my money. It's almost like being held to ransom, and they can decide when they chose to give us money that's rightfully ours. My payment was supposed to be today (21st) but I'm still waiting. This is definitely for me the last time I'm using eBay, for both selling and buying. Treat loyal users with food feedback with a little courtesy and respect at least.

It's a bit early in the morning - I got my payment by mid-morning two days after delivery. Give them a couple of hours, it's not ideal and I don't like it but previously I have had to wait until a few minutes before midnight on the day payment was due.

Unfortunately it isn't a cut and dry system. It's why they are using words like "typically, generally and usually" within their service descriptions.
If their system hasn't updated, for whatever reason, to show delivery has been received then they can hold funds for upto 14 days.
& that's without all the other reasons they always left themselves to delay payment. New account, unusual activity, sudden activity on a dormant account etc.

I've only sold one item since the changes so I have not experienced this myself, but it's beyond the pale that they should do this. I would urge everyone to pester customer services both on chat and by getting them to ring you - don't give up after one try. The Irish team seems to be the easiest to talk to and from what I have heard they are often available on Sunday mornings but don't quote me on that. In any event, they are easy to talk to even if you ultimately get nowhere. If they are pestered enough maybe something will happen. In any event, I intend to take all of my items down in the next few weeks ( I don't think I have anything that is likely to sell and I am just keeping my foot in the door for now - but not much longer! )
