Yodel non delivery

I recently sold a bare root rose plant and sent it via Yodel and after 9 days and numerous webchats and emails to the ceo complaints address, I was advised the item was being returned to sender.

I was advised to contact the sender (myself!) for more information and no explnation was given.

I decided to refund the ebay buyer after 8 days as the plant would be dead by the time they or I received it.

I suspect the buyers address was too remote for Yodel to find, as it is on a private track in a countryside area. Royal Mail shows it as a valid address and I presume they would have been able to find it if I had used Royal Mail.

Any ideas how I get a postage refund from Yodel or compensation for the dead plant, as I initiated contact with the buyer and refunded them to prevent negative feedback?

Thanks

Yodel non delivery

Assuming you used ebay's simple delivery if the buyer had opened a "not received" case ebay would have issued the refund themselves and you keep the payment.    Nothing you can do now, sorry.

Yodel non delivery

I don't believe that Yodel is available as part of simple delivery at least not at this moment

If you bought the courier label through ebay: on a computer, go to my ebay, selling, postage labels, from there you should see the label you bought, click actions and then the option to contact customer service which I believe goes to packlink, who are the company that actually provide the courier labels for ebay. From there you can view the claims process and submit a claim. I'm not sure if your plant would be covered in this case if it does end up returned to you (even dead unfortunately) but you can have a look at the policies at least..

If you bought the yodel service from another 3rd party site like parcel2go then they will have their own policies and procedure and you would need to claim through them
