Yet more irritation!

Had a buyer contact me on the Friday, to ask if I could post a purchase to him by Thursday of the following week, I said yes no problem I would post it out first thing Saturday morning, but there is no guarantee that you will receive it in time. He made the purchase. I duly took the item to the Post Office first thing Saturday morning. On going to post my Monday morning Packages I noticed that the ones I had taken on the Saturday were still there in the EVRI bag! I asked the Postmaster about this, and he told me that Evri had failed to collect Saturdays mail! I then have to contact the customer and try to explain that his package may arrive late. Luckily he did receive it in time, but it was a close thing. This is one if the reasons that when  EVRI is given as an option for buyers, as it creates real problems for sellers.

Another weird thing, I have just received automated feedback `Order delivered with no issues`, but I did not recognize the sale. On looking back I noted that it was from a sale that I made in MAY! Are eBay now going to give me automated feedback from when I started selling in 2016? Very strange.

If you don't want to use Evri you can opt out here in your account Postage Preferences:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf

Or you can deselect a courier here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf/simpledelivery

Or when you set up your listing, though bear in mind that in some circumstances eBay claim that they may reinstate it for certain purchases (never heard of them doing this though).

As regards the feedback, yes it is weird. Not unwelcome though for some of the lower feedback sellers whose buyers don't leave any though.
