Why Can't I Pay For Royal Mail Labels From Balance

According to eBay's guidelines I should be able to do this: "Royal Mail postage label purchases can be paid with PayPal and can now also be paid using any available funds on your eBay account"

However, they always use Paypal even though I have set my bank account as preferred way to pay for selling costs.

Any ideas why this is happening? Very annoying as I leave money in eBay specifically for this.

This is the question I have. I set up ages to pay via paypal for postage if I did it directly, but I can't find out how to change the setting....

When you go to buy postage at the very bottom of page you can tick use balance.  This is on laptop, not sure about phone app.

This option no longer appears on either the app or the laptop version for me. I have more than sufficient cleared funds available, there is only Paypal on app, and Paypal or credit/debit card (through Paypal!) on laptop. No option for using funds anywhere.
