You can do it. See "How to add variations on eBay listings" on here:

It depends what you're listing.
A private seller is one who is just selling off their own personal items such as clothes from their wardrobe, bits from their loft/garage etc.
A Business seller is someone who buys or makes items to sell on. They need to be registered as a business to meet the requirements of UK law.

there is just no option for variation on the page even after i switch from auction to buy it now.

im not a buisness but i have a one item of different sizes, so thought it would be good to have one listing instead of doing seperate listings for each of the 3 sizes i have

I can never remember how to do these variation listings.
There are a couple of really good step by step you tube videos on them though.
Nic & Andrea Hills channel is my go to for this.

Hi rahale2006, thanks for your question.
Did you try following the steps given on the link that **peaseblossom** shared above? I was checking there, and it seems to be working ok for you. Are you entering the right quantity as per the information on the link shared to you? Or you don't see the box to enter the quantity? Or nothing really happens after you enter the quantity?
Thank you,
Marco

If you're just listing your own personal items you no longer want and have one item in different sizes then I'd just list them separately in 3 listings.
May I ask what kind of item you're listing and category and sub categories you're selecting?
Some sub categories aren't supported by a variation listing.

Hi rahale2006, thanks for your reply.
I was looking into this for you, and we can see why this is. However, we are unable to fix it over this channel, so you'd need to contact customer services, so they can look into it with you.
Thank you,
Marco

I have the same issue. I use ebay for work and have no issues. On my personal account, the selling pages are different and there is no option for variations. My personal account has been around a lot longer than my works account and had more transactions, though it has't seen much action over the last few years.

When you go to set up your listing can you see the Photos & Videos field at the very top of the page or does it start off with 'Title'?

Good evening, it starts off with the title, but I've not found an option to change it. I have looked at your previous posts on a few different threads on the subject. Thanks.

You're using the wrong listing tool, you need the new one which starts off with the Photos & Videos field at the top.
Go to Seller Hub and then click on the blue 'Create listing' button that's located top right:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/lst/active
Put in your title, then when you start to list your item you'll see the Photos & Video field at the very top.
The option to set variations is located between the Item Specifics and Condition sections, it'll appear once you've selected to list in Buy It Now format in a category that supports a multi variation listing.
If you still do not see the variation option between the Item Specifics and Condition sections, click on the 3 dots on the upper right hand side of the listing form and then select the settings gear icon and click on the variations toggle so it turns blue.
There are limited categories that support a variation style listing, if you're trying to list in a category or sub category that doesn't support this listing format, it won't appear.

Thanks for your reply.
I wasn't getting the same results. I had to contact ebay support. They fixed it.

So it turns out that if you have not sold "many" items in the past this option is actually not made available to you. You have to contact Ebay customer support and they will then "add" this option in for you. I spoke to customer support who told me on the above.
i copied and pasted this from *vyolla*
"

So if your unable to see variations on an item that has it then contact ebay customer support who should be able to rectify this for you.

How did they rectify this, out of curiosity?

I want to list around 12 different figurines that are related to each other (from same movie), different shapes and different names. It's best to put them together in one listing and in a certain order, with different prices. Many big sellers do this. Hope i don't have to be a pro-seller for this option. It's not available to me now in the variations section, which is limited to specified things like size & colour. Please help. Thanks.

That link to customer service that you provided is bogus, it just takes you to a never ending cycle of eBay info that does't help. I think you have to go to Seller Hub for Advanced Listings and select Multiple Listings right from the start. I asked this question weeks ago, but sellers don't like helping other sellers, so i got no response. Thanks for nothing.
