Well, that's a surprise. They're not terribly positive.

"Quid custodiet ipsos custodes ?"
Personally I don't trust Rustpilot

Hi TG, Juvenal, my favourite Latin poet/writer .
If I remember properly, it was a comment on the assassination of Julius Caesar

I was going to start a thread, but beaten to it!
Just had a look. They get just one star and a 1.2 rating.
Anyone who still thinks the insane new policy of Buyer Protection Fee is remotely a good idea really should seek help I'm afraid.
This company is going down the toilet and just needs a flush.

Anyone had a look on Distrust Pilot for any of the other sites / competitors - Etsy, Vinted, etc?
If you believed the star ratings, would you actually buy or sell anything online?

You can go back to 2018 using the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine and it's still 1 star overall.
eBay has long been a scammers paradise and not to defend eBay but that is incredibly hard to police and always make the right call with disputes, there will continue to be unhappy buyers and sellers alike.

Yes, eBay star rating is downright poor - taken in isolation.
With the other competitor sites - downright poor seems to be roughly the standard.
And yet, we persevere ............................

Wow they are getting hammered!
Aside from all the obvious:
sellers having their money delayed
the odd buyer getting caught out by the fees
the usual of both sellers and buyers getting scammed, and let down by eBay’s so-called protection
poor CS
etc.
There are an alarming number of people having the accounts suspended, and often not being given a reason.
I know from old posts that this does happen – and I think it is usually when someone who lived at your registered address has their account suspended, as eBay seem to blackball an address, not a person. But I didn’t realise it was quite as frequent. And the posts on eBay seemed to be from people who tried to register a businesses account address through one of the services that gives you an address when you can’t register your own address (which is normally the case if you’re renting).
But the ones on Trustpilot seem to be normal (private) accounts.
One I’ll quote below:
“Absolutely awful experience on this site , I would rather stand in the street and give my things away rather then try to sell them on eBay . I sold some items them eBay told me I wasn’t verified and someone at my address had a suspended account , so they froze my account, I have £2000 in it . And they have kept my money . I am seeking legal action , avoid eBay , you have been warned”
