Tax Assessment Help

I am currently working my way through my tax self assessment due 31 January.

I am very confident with spreadsheets, and pretty okay with general accounting principles, but e Bays transaction reports just don't balance for me when there is a refund in that month.

Can anyone help clear this up.

I understand usually refunds from a business point of view cancel out a sales order. However, it appears to be income in terms of the transaction report.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as there is nothing on ebays 'help'  sections about this.

Or can anyone share how they manage a transaction report for a month where there is a refund.

For me it does include refunds as the net sale will say 0 once refunded but the postage cost shows. So the expense is the postage ?
