Sold a Sherman Filterbank 2—buyer with 20 years’ gear-selling experience conveniently waited 27 days from delivery to open a return March 1st (‘maybe trapped in the door’), exploiting the 30-day window. Didn’t seek a fix, returned it trashed—no original packing, crushed cord. I reported fraud via portal March 1st, wanted to deny it outright—eBay called back, said ‘accept it, we’ve got you,’ pushed me to avoid chargebacks over fighting a bank. Refunded £550 March 10th as they advised, expecting protection. Abby’s March 17th email promised a ‘priority’ refund—Adam denied it, portal’s locked after 30 days.
