I sold a mobile phone and input all the information in the listing, The buyer sent me a message and said they were happy with it and left me feedback, The Buyer has now just message me and said they want to return it as it is on android 9 and doesn't support the ebay app, do i have to agree to a return as no returns were selected when listing unless if not as described or damaged?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Also who would stand to return postage and as they have used the phone what if they return it not as sent out?
Thank you for any advice

As a private seller you don't have to accept "change of mind" returns but if you did the buyer pays the postage. You could suggest they resell themselves.

If i said for them to return it, as i put returns are not accepted would the option come up for them to return because they had changed their mind?

If buyer opens a "not as described" claim you would have to accept, supply a prepaid returns label and refund all of the buyers original payment upon return.
The returns process is fully automated,no humans look at it at all.
You only have 3 working days to respond to such a claim,on day 4 the buyer could ask ebay to step in and they could possibly force a refund from your bank with no requirement for buyer to return anything. In that scenario you would also get a defect.

The buyer should still be able to open a change of mind return.

Well the buyer has now opened a return stating the item does not work or is defective, seriously what i will accept the return well i will have to as there is no other option other than a partial refund which obviously they will not want, i were going to sell part of my collection on here but this has made me think about this as some of my collected pieces are worth more than this, The buyer messaged me to say how happy they were with the phone and left me feedback and now i have to accept a return for it as not working or defective, what a setup

I have told the buyer to keep the phone and do whatever they want with it and i will refund them, If i accept the return i will have to pay for return postage and agree that the phone were faulty, oh my what a rubbish faulty setup, i'll let run what i have on then i'm done

Its not about the money (£30) i don't want the phone back just to try and resell and maybe the same happen again, i will just give it away, The fact that i can select no returns but then they can open a return and select change of mind when no returns are accepted i just don't get, because they selected item not working i have just refunded them and told them to gift the phone or take it to a charity shop, I selected no returns and the buyer messaged me as to how happy they were with the phone and left me feedback and then this happens, What a garbage setup
