So is the new 'no seller fees' rule ONLY on the UK site at the moment as the US site still has fees

I had to check something on the US site and was surprised to notice that they seem to still be charging private sellers fees?

So have the new rules only been implemented in the UK or have any other countries also had them imposed?

Not sure what you mean here, do you mean the Buyer Protection fee? If so, that's not set up on the US site.

There are no US 'private sellers'.

No distinction at all between business sellers and private sellers.  All private sales are reported via the US self-assessment system.

Though here is a bigger surprise for you!

EBay.de have private sellers, with 320 free listings per month and another 2500 free auction listing per month for auctions starting at 1 Euro.  Free to sell.  All sales are covered by the Buyer Protection Policy, there is no fee for this eBay service!
