Simple delivery: will I have to stop buying my postage elsewhere?

At present I use RM's Click and Collect.  Very convenient for me.  And it means ebay don't know when I dispatch earlier than they expect (my buyers do, because I message them) and so they don't use their 'algorithm' to screw over my EDDs.

Does 'Simple Delivery' mean I'm going to be forced to use ebay for postage?

Re: Simple delivery: will I have to stop buying my postage elsewhere?

Thanks. I’ll look into this but as I sell such a small amount and with so little profit margin (it’s a hobby really) I think that it will be too expensive. They want possibly 10% as a final value fee, and the monthly fee for a shop could well be my entire monthly takings in the quiet months.

It's a hobby, but it's still trading.  I reckon you're better off finding other platforms.  Even true for people simply decluttering.  Either ebay are trying to become an Amazon with business sellers only, or they're utterly incompetent.

It won’t remain optional

its going to be totally controlled by ebay

and means that if you’re a private seller they control and might lose your options

i I can’t see how to get my Royal Mail collected like I used to and it defaults to cabin sized even if it’s a small item

typical and usual control changes by eBay
