Simple delivery labels

Hi guys first of all I would like to apologies for my miss behaviour yesterday on here. 🙏

So I am back today with a quick question, about simple delivery.

Sent two so far, yesterday no issues. Today the post office worker said there is no address but just the recipients name on the label.  However the post code and house No. is on the prof of postage.

Is this just how things are for simple delivery? No address on label and the post office just scan the QR code?

It would be great if someone could confirm this for me.

Many thanks again all.

🙏

Re: Simple delivery labels

I've only sent Simple Delivery once with just the QR code. Yes, the Post Office just prints what looks like their normal postage sticker. That's it. That's all that goes on the package.

Re: Simple delivery labels

Thanks for this. When you sent did you notice if the address was on the label? I think the post office operative made this unsimple for me. Very lazy young man who couldn’t be bothered.

I asked him to confirm where it’s going to as i always do. The guy shrugged and said it just says a name with no address. So I thought I better ask here. 😊

Re: Simple delivery labels

I've only sent one simple delivery package. It was printed at the Royal Mail delivery office and it had the recipients address on it.

Re: Simple delivery labels

How do you know did you ask the post office worker to show the label too  you first?

Re: Simple delivery labels

It wasn't at the post office but the Royal Mail delivery office. I was able to look at the label because I wanted to see if it had 'Marketplace seller' printed on it, which it didn't.

Re: Simple delivery labels

I would add that in your case if this was a simple delivery label that you shouldn't worry. Any problems with delivery will be up to ebay to sort out.

Re: Simple delivery labels

Just to add. I am more interested I making sure my buyer gets the item they paid for. But it’s nice to know I will be covered if any issue occurs. Thanks again.

Re: Simple delivery labels

Of course you want the best for your buyer but it wouldn't be your fault if there was an issue with the label supplied to you.

Re: Simple delivery labels

Yep, this. It seems to be moving through the system. I reckon it’s just  how it is. The info is within the QR on the label not the label. Perhaps different if you get it at the place where you did. Maybe they put a second label on it there? Who knows.
