Simple delivery - how do I compete?

I'm relatively new to selling on ebay, and when I tried to revise one of my listings to change the description, I was informed about the dreaded "simple delivery..."

I currently sell several items with highly competitive prices, and the margins are very slim. I send cheap items and small orders with Royal Mail 2nd class. The next time I have to add stock to the listing, I will be forced to change to """simple""" delivery, adding £1.15 to the cost to ship every time.

This is not feasible. The margins are not wide enough.

How do I compete? This feels like I'm being forced off the platform in favour of the "business" sellers.

Of course, even if this happened to everyone, the cost would be passed onto the buyer, who would likely go to other sites...

Correct !

And that is exactly what is happening to every other private seller.

Just read all the associated threads.

I'm surprised someone is trying to start selling here when all this mess is going on. Most of us are not listing or if we do not selling
