Hi there, it's another post about "simple" delivery!
How can I specify the weight of the item so that ebay stops over-charging for the shipping?
Earlier today I sold two items weighing approximately 35g each, but because the cheapest "simple" shipping option is "up to 1kg," EBay has automatically purchased a label for 2kg (!!) which cost me £3.38 rather than the £2.70 it only needed to cost!
This is ridiculous! How can I stop it from happening again?

Looks like a combined postage problem to me
unfortunately you can’t list your items with custom delivery as fheyre over a tenner
so the bots have it at the moment
combing two 35 g items each under a 1kg selection as two 1kg selections
hmmm

Sellers need to double check the postage fees imposed under 'Simple' Delivery. Just discovered small parcel items are being charged as medium so a up to 2 kg small parcel 16 cm was charged as 2kg medium for @ £2 extra. Have had to revise all my small parcel up to 2 kg to the 16 cm size to get a better price. Even up to 1kg parcels were being charged as medium by default so had to change back to 16 cm.

This issue is driving me crazy as I sell stamps from my collection and it is putting £2.70 postage on the cost of sending a letter? It does not give the option to put a custom amount on. It just assumes it is a bigger item ? How can we change this? How do you resize them?

When Simply Delivery was first started there was a way where you could enter the weight off the item instead off just entering it has 1kg or has that now been removed . Doing it that way surely if SD was working correctly it should add the two weights together . I noticed when I listed something yesterday Ebay was recommending the 1kg - 2kg which is the same price as 1g - 1kg size .

Only way got around this was to end the listing and then list again from scratch copy/paste info and finding your images! (sell similar replicates the issue) Then if listing under 100g and under £10 and large letter you do get the option of opting out of SD and charging your own LL postage....Just remember this is 'Simple' 🙂
